Cambodian children are continuing to go to school and the Ministry of Education has extended the school year until the end of November to allow teacher to teach and children to catch up on what they missed during lockdown. Low income families continue to struggle and this conditional cash payment programme has supported 40 students in 8 schools during this period.
The conditional cash payment programme is supported by a committee that meets monthly to monitor progress, support schools and families.The teachers also receive training on keeping children who are in vulnerable circumstances safe.
During this time students attendance remains high with an average of 98%, giving children the opportunity to learn. Your support has assisted children like Reaksa, who says “I’m happy that I have study materials to learn like others, I want to help my family ” Reaksa, CCP project.
