We wanted to tell you the story of one of our beneficiaries in this report:
Vannak is 9 years old and currently in grade 3 at Tatrav School in Angkor Thom district, a school which has been working with SeeBeyondBorders since 2017. He is a high achieving student in his class and has been identified as being from a very low income family and offered support through the SeeBeyondBorders' Conditional Cash Payment, CCP, program.
Vannak’s grandfather, Mr. Horm, supports Vannak by ensuring he attends school and completes his homework each day, and by reviewing what he has learnt during his lessons. He maintains regular contact with his classroom teacher to make sure he knows how best to support Vannak at home.
“I am delighted that my grandson has been selected to receive support from SeeBeyondBorder’s conditional cash payment program. Now I don’t have to worry about not being able to afford to buy school materials for him and I can concentrate on helping him study at home and ensure he attends school everyday.” Mr Horm, Vannak’s grandfather.
