During the winter months, our time spent on the SEA Creatures Summer Program is limited to planning and adding new activities to our offerings for the summer. It may not sound that exciting, but it’s actually a lot of fun to have the time to plan and also to consider how SEA Creatures fits in with our other education programming. Although SEA Creatures is offered to camps of all ages, the majority of the children that we reach are in elementary school. Olivia Walton, our education coordinator, is developing a new summer offering for older students that will teach them how to be the environmental leaders in our community. We hope that the initial interest and excitement that is sparked by the SEA Creatures program can grow further through our Environmental Leaders program.
We so appreciate the support of everyone who has donated to our summer programs. We know that times are tough right now and we are so grateful that you have the confidence that we will make the most of your donation in building a next generation of environmental stewards and leaders.
