'Irene Mugai' a Kibera school student dreams to change the world by becoming a lawyer / president after watching He Named Malala and getting highly inspired by the courage and bravery of Malal Yousafzai!

10,426 children from Kibera County, Nairobi, Kenya got a chance to watch HE NAMED ME MALALA at Planet Media Prestige Plaza Cinema, Nairobi, Kenya from 1st November, 2015 to 22nd November, 2015.
There are approximatly 2.5 million slum dwellers in about 200 settlements in Nairobi representing 60% of the Nairobi population and occupying just 6% of the land. Kibera houses about 250,000 of these people. Kibera is the biggest slum in Africa and one of the biggest in the world. There are 10,000 schools approximately with very little facilities or infrastructure however the will of the students is amazing. "The experience that the children had and showed their spirits toward education while interacting at the screenings, was very inspiring! The children felt more motivated when leaving the cinemas saying they will do whatever it takes to keep studying!" - Trushna Buddhdev Patel, Managing Director, Crimson Multimedia Ltd
The project successfully started on scheduled date and time taking a short break for Exams resumed soon after and completed on scheduled end date. With a 9,709 attendances recorded, a balance of 717 remain outstanding as per project allocation, which couldnt take place due to cancellation by one school due to some unforseen reasons. This will be re-scheduled in 1 more screening before Christmas holidays/January when schools resume.
