Dear supporters,
The security situation in Haiti remains very precarious. 170.000 Haitian children are internally displaced and more than 4 million will require humanitarian aid in 2024.
Gang violence claims more victims. There are regular protests by Haitians against the outgoing violence and for demanding presidential elections. In 2021, President Moïse was murdered. Immediately after it, the current President Henry took over the reins of government with the promise to organise presidential elections within two years. Violence has been continuing and worsening since.
We were able to continue financially supporting our partner schools St. Emma and St. Nicolas in 2023. We hope that the situation improves in Haiti. Trying to keep the schools running is currently a big achievement, that’s the reason why donations are urgently needed. If you can, please consider supporting St. Emma and St. Nicolas again.
