Hello,
It has now been 10 years since the terrible earthquake in January 2010 devastated Haiti and claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. The two schools that we previously supported by Schools for Haiti were also completely destroyed. To enable the construction of new school buildings and to offer long-term help, we decided to set up the association, PEN PAPER PEACE, in 2011. This way, we were able to help even more with the reconstruction on site. A lot has happened since then! You can read about the project history on our website (in German) or in Italian.
Documentary for the school tour Italy online
The school competition Scuole per Haiti in Italy is in full swing and the classes are busy collecting donations for their peers in Haiti. At the start of the competition, we visited the classes to talk to them about the situation in Haiti. The director, Gianluca Santoni, accompanied our association members Alissa, Luca and Giovanna during the moving encounters and created a small documentary that you can see here! If you also want to know how many donations have already been collected or how you can support one of the classes, you can find information on all participating schools and the current competition status here.
If you would like to stay updated on how we use your donations, please follow us on Instagram or Facebook.
We are very pleased that you are part of PEN PAPER PEACE and send warm regards Nora, Lisa, Luca, Milena, Felix, Vivi, Verena, Denise, Peter, Alissa, Giovanna, Malin and Jana at PEN PAPER PEACE e.V.
