Summary Continuous medical treatment should never put a child's life, dreams, or education on hold. "School of Superheroes" ensures the right to education for young patients in children's hospitals across Ukraine. Transforming hospital spaces into inspiring educational centers, the Foundation helps hospitalized children maintain their learning routine and stay connected with the world.
Challenge Annually thousands of children face prolonged hospitalization due to severe illnesses and injuries. They face emotional distress and growing learning gaps. In "Schools of Superheroes" dedicated teachers and psychologists work with these young patients, helping them overcome stress, follow school curriculum and recover faster. Without fully equipped hospital classrooms, ongoing medical treatment deprives children of their daily routine and the essential support needed for recovery.
Solution The "School of Superheroes" turns healthcare facilities into vibrant spaces of resilience and discovery. We fully equip and design state-of-the-art, accessible hospital centers featuring interactive screens, laptops, specialized furniture and play zones. These spaces allow professional educators and psychologists to conduct both group lessons and individual support sessions, ensuring that every young patient can learn comfortably and safely right alongside their medical care.
Today, 22 educational centers operate in pediatric hospitals across Ukraine, 12 of which were fully funded by the Olena Zelenska Foundation in just the last two years. Across all centers, over 40,000 children have received nearly 500,000 lessons, including 22,500 young patients and 119,000 classes in the 2025/2026 academic year alone. Your support will allow us to scale this proven model, ensuring more children in high-need regions can keep learning, healing, and building a secure future.
