Lucy is the youngest child in her family. She was enrolled in our program in 2014 and was started on medications. It has been noticed that she has not been adhering to the treatment. This was noticed as she was diagnosed with TB. During this time the child was so weak and thereby inconsistent in class. She is a partial orphan who stays with her father and he takes care of her. The father recently had an accident and suffered some fractures on his legs. He can’t do much in assisting the child.
She has been receiving assistance due to her unhealthy condition, and is now back in school because her health is finally improving. Lucy has also improved socially and emotionally. The support from AFCA has been a huge blessing to Lucy and her family.
