Education can change a child's future, but hunger can make the journey through school extremely difficult. In vulnerable communities, some children arrive at school without having eaten breakfast and may spend the entire school day without a proper meal. This can affect their concentration, energy, classroom participation and willingness to remain in school.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda is committed to establishing sustainable school feeding programs that provide nutritious breakfasts and lunches to children in vulnerable schools across Uganda.
The meals will be prepared using locally sourced foods, helping children receive nutritious meals while creating a market for local farmers. This approach connects education, nutrition and community economic empowerment.
Objectives:
For a child, a nutritious meal can mean the difference between struggling through a lesson and being able to concentrate, participate and learn. Your support can help transform the school experience for children who face hunger every day.
We invite GlobalGiving donors to stand with us in providing food, hope and an opportunity for vulnerable children to learn and grow.
