School Feeding Joy for Ugandan Kids

Imagine sitting through a full school day while hungry. For many vulnerable children, this is not imagination—it is part of their daily reality. Hunger can make it difficult for children to concentrate, participate in lessons and remain engaged throughout the school day.

Good Cause Foundation Uganda is working to change this reality by establishing and strengthening sustainable school feeding programs in vulnerable schools across Uganda.

The project will provide nutritious breakfasts and lunches prepared with locally sourced food, giving children the nourishment they need to approach their school day with greater energy and focus.

Objectives:

• Provide nutritious daily breakfasts and lunches.
• Help vulnerable children remain in school throughout the day.
• Increase enrollment, attendance and retention.
• Improve children's concentration and classroom participation.
• Support children's health and well-being.
• Contribute to improved academic performance.
• Support local farmers through locally sourced food.

We are appealing to GlobalGiving donors to help us reach more children. A contribution toward school feeding can help provide a meal that gives a child the energy to sit in class, listen to a teacher, participate in activities and continue pursuing their education.
