We are deeply thankful for your solidarity with the students, staff, and faculty of the University of Fondwa (UNIF).
As the 2024-2025 academic year draws to a close, we’re celebrating a powerful milestone: the highest number of students ever enrolled at UNIF. This year, 245 students — including 88 first-year students — are advancing their studies in Agronomy, Business Administration, and Veterinary Medicine.
This growth is a testament to what’s possible when people like you believe in the power of education to transform lives. Thank you for making this extraordinary year possible.
New Scholarship Program Extends Opportunity Further
Early in the year, uFondwa USA and UNIF launched an ambitious scholarship initiative, working hand-in-hand with local organizations such as:
Together, we identified and awarded scholarships to students who not only passed the entrance exam but also demonstrated a deep desire to uplift their communities.
Thanks to your generosity, 188 of the 245 students at UNIF this year were able to attend on full scholarships — a remarkable achievement that speaks to your commitment to equity and access in education.
Students on Track, Thanks to You
UNIF students recently completed their midterm exams and are now preparing for final exams in early July. Despite Haiti’s ongoing instability, your support is helping provide the consistency, structure, and encouragement that students need to succeed. Some are even approaching graduation!

Dr. Moussanto Dantil: From Student to Professor
UNIF graduate and veterinarian Dr. Moussanto returned to his alma mater this year—not as a student, but as a visiting faculty member. Between running his clinic in Pignon, he made time to train current students in surgical techniques. His story is a living example of the ripple effect your gift creates.
Naomi Delisca: A Future Leader in Business
Naomi recently completed her senior thesis on the causes and consequences of early pregnancy — the final hurdle in earning her degree in Business Management. We are incredibly proud of her and know she will make a lasting difference in her community.
Debate as a Catalyst for Change
Slanta Nicolas, a third-year agronomy student, launched a month-long debate initiative that engaged teams of students across UNIF in rigorous discussion on Haiti’s most urgent challenges. Many students spoke publicly for the first time — an experience that empowered them, built confidence, and deepened their civic awareness.
