The Scholarship Initiative for 150 Girls in Katsina is currently ongoing, with fundraising and implementation efforts focused on ensuring that beneficiaries receive uninterrupted educational support. The project has a total funding goal of $39,045, which is intended to cover tuition fees, school uniforms, books, learning materials, and other essential educational needs for the selected girls. At this stage, the full amount is still being raised, and additional financial support remains critical to the success and timely execution of the initiative.
Despite the current funding gap, project awareness and community engagement activities have continued steadily. Outreach efforts have helped strengthen conversations around the importance of girls’ education in Katsina, while preparations for scholarship distribution and beneficiary support systems are underway. The project team is also engaging potential donors, partners, and supporters to mobilize resources that will allow the initiative to move into full implementation.
The financial need remains urgent, as many vulnerable girls are still at risk of dropping out of school due to economic hardship and lack of educational materials. Continued contributions toward the project will directly help remove these barriers and ensure that the targeted beneficiaries can remain in school, complete their education, and gain access to better opportunities for the future.
