Our SV-SLI scholars continue to impress with their academics and community involvement. Our Harrisonburg SLI scholars participated in the city's annual International Festival. Our kids headed the "blowing up stereotypes" section of the festival. Festival-goers could participate by writing, then blowing up stereotypes that have impacted their lives. It was a fun-filled day which brought the entire community together. SV-SLI was honored to be a part of the festival.
Academically, our SV-SLI students continue on their college path. Many of our scholars are involved in Advanced Placement and Dual-Enrollment courses. These courses can count as credits toward college, offsetting the cost of student tuition in the future.
As always, SV-SLI continutes to support all of our scholars by:
Your contribution to the Shenandoah Valley-Scholars' Latino Initiative helps us continue to serve our scholars in Harrisonburg and Winchester. We thank you again for your generous support!
