Exciting Progress on Our Mahua Net Project in Odisha!

We are thrilled to share exciting progress on our innovative Mahua Net Project, designed to protect Odisha’s precious elephant forests from preventable wildfires while supporting tribal livelihoods!

WORK IS ALREADY UNDERWAY! Local craftspeople are meticulously measuring, cutting and stitching the first custom-designed nets, each approximately 40 feet in diameter.

What makes this initiative particularly exciting is the active participation of tribal communities, whose invaluable traditional knowledge and practical suggestions are helping shape the designs. This is conservation driven by collaboration, where local families are part of the solution!

Our first prototype is expected to be ready by January 2027, just in time for the mahua season! Once tested and refined, we plan to expand production and installation across selected villages, focusing on carefully chosen, high-yielding Mahua trees.

WE HAVE JUST THREE MONTHS TO PROTECT ODISHA'S ELEPHANT FORESTS FROM THE NEXT FIRE SEASON!

Thanks to YOU, our generous supporters, we've raised just over $15,000 toward our $40,000 goal to install 500 Mahua nets across four villages—125 per village. Each net will help families collect flowers without burning dry leaves, reducing the risk of forest fires while protecting elephant habitats and livelihoods.

JUST $80 FUNDS ONE NET! We urgently need approximately $25,000 more to reach our goal. We'll share more photographs and videos as mass production begins.

PLEASE DONATE NOW! Every net matters. Every day counts. TOGETHER, WE CAN DO THIS!

Imagine a future where tribal families prosper, forests flourish and elephants roam safely through their natural habitats.

With your continued support, we can turn this promising innovation into lasting change!

Thank you so much for your belief in our mission and for your unwavering generosity.

Yours Truly,

Sangita
