As we reflect on 2024, I am honored to share the remarkable strides made by Friends Welfare Association (FWA) in advancing our mission of empowering communities and fostering sustainable development.
This year has been a testament to our unwavering commitment to education, health, socio-economic upliftment, and climate resilience, aligning closely with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of our most significant milestones this year was FWA’s accreditation by the National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF), a recognition that places us among an top group of national organizations dedicated to disaster resilience and community development. This achievement reinforces our credibility and strengthens our ability to drive impactful, long-term initiatives.
During the year 2024, we continued to transform lives by expanding access to quality learning. From strengthening school infrastructure to supporting over 300,000 students through innovative education models. Under health and WASH initiatives, we have ensured safe drinking water and essential healthcare for thousands, improving the well-being of vulnerable communities. Our efforts are creating lasting opportunities, particularly for girls and marginalized communities.
Economic empowerment remains at the heart of our interventions, with vocational training programs equipping women with marketable skills, enabling them to secure sustainable livelihoods. Furthermore, our climate action initiatives, including reforestation and renewable energy solutions, are paving the way for a more resilient future.
These achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our dedicated team, donors, and partners. I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who has contributed to our journey. As we step into 2025, we remain committed to expanding our reach, strengthening our impact, and continuing our mission to build a more inclusive and prosperous society.
