Dear Valued Supporters,
Safeguarding South Africa’s Big 5 - the African Elephant, the White and Black Rhinos, the Buffalo, the majestic Lion, and the elusive Leopard - is a task of monumental proportions. Among these magnificent creatures, our rhinos have been requiring our utmost attention.
The Ubuntu Project, an initiative by Rhino Revolution, is a breeding programme aimed at protecting our rhinos. The threats they face are escalating, with poachers becoming increasingly audacious and inventive. Tragically, successful poaching attempts leave these gentle giants hornless and lifeless.
The burgeoning illegal trade for rhino horns, driven by their high value, tempts those in poverty to risk everything for a chance to sell a horn. Our dedicated team confronts danger daily to shield the rhinos. However, we believe that prevention is better than cure. Hence, we are intensifying our outreach activities to inspire local children to become conservationists and future protectors of our precious Big 5.
Reflecting on the Ubuntu Project’s journey so far fills us with pride. We have rescued numerous rhinos, but our battle is far from over. The ingenuity of those who harm these creatures is alarming, necessitating more resources and support for our cause.
We invite you to join us in this fight against poaching by sharing our project and cause across your social media platforms and networks. Together, we can make a difference!
Thank you for your unwavering support.
