The project "Saving 500 Children from Malnutrition" implemented by El Club de Niños y Niñas de CDMX y Estado de México highlights the challenges and overall impact of the project, providing a comprehensive overview.
I. Project Objective:
The project's primary aim is to decrease the incidence of child malnutrition by implementing effective and sustainable interventions. To achieve this, specific goals have been set, including the provision of nutritious food, medical care, education on healthy eating habits, and support to vulnerable communities.
II. Expected Program Accomplishments:
Our program has the following objectives:
1. Distribution of Nutritious Foods: We aim to provide nutrient-rich meals to our beneficiaries, ensuring they receive an adequate intake of essential vitamins and minerals according to their age.
2. Nutrition Training: To improve knowledge and awareness of the importance of a balanced diet, we offer training on nutrition and healthy eating practices as part of the program.
3. Community Empowerment: We encourage the active participation of guardians to learn more about good health practices and the well-being of their children..
III. Challenges:
Fundraising is crucial to our project's success. By acquiring new donors and retaining existing ones, we can begin the project before the first semester of 2024 ends. Additionally, we must ensure that our facilities comply with all safety regulations and requirements to prevent risks and ensure civil protection.IV. Impact:
The project will have a significant impact on the lives of 500 children, improving their quality of life and that of their families, the rates of reduction in the rate of malnutrition may decrease by approximately 1% during the first 12 months after the program's start.
V. Lessons Learned:
The key to program success is adapting a proven model and partnering with nutrition and logistics experts to optimize resources.
VI. Recommendations for the Future:
