1. Celebrating Culture and Creativity: Rohingya Food Festival and Art Competition
On January 21, 2025, the Camp 04 Education Sector organized an inspiring Rohingya Food Festival and Art Competition at CIC Darbar Hall in Camp 04, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. This vibrant event brought together community members, partners, and educators to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and creative expressions of the Rohingya people. Through traditional cuisine and visual art, the festival not only showcased talent but also promoted unity, pride, and cultural appreciation within the community.

2. Strengthening Collaboration: Visit by Muslim Aid USA
On January 19, 2025, OBAT Helpers welcomed Md. Anwar Khan, CEO and President of OBAT Helpers USA, and Azhar Azeez from Muslim Aid USA, for a visit to our health projects in Camp 4. Their visit reaffirmed their continued support and dedication to improving healthcare services for the Rohingya community. It also served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen ongoing collaboration and assess progress on key initiatives.

3. Continued Engagement: Humaniti Team Visit to OBAT Projects
On January 26, 2025, OBAT hosted the Humaniti team alongside Md. Anwar Khan and Masum Mahbubur Rahman at its health and education project sites in the Rohingya Refugee Camp. The visit offered a meaningful exchange of ideas and allowed the team to witness firsthand the impact of OBAT’s programs. The presence of partners on the ground continues to be a powerful source of encouragement for both project teams and the community.

4. Health Services Update: OBAT Health Post – Camp 04 (UID-040)
In January 2025, OBAT Health Post in Camp 04 (UID-040) served 20,566 patients, providing a wide range of essential health services, including:

  • Outpatient Department (OPD): General consultations and follow-up care for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)

  • Emergency Services: Immediate patient management and coordinated referrals to higher-level health facilities

  • Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Services: Antenatal care, postnatal care, adolescent care, and family planning

  • Dental Services

  • NCD Management: Treatment and monitoring of hypertension (HTN), diabetes (DM), cardiovascular diseases (CVD), and others

  • Laboratory Services

  • Emergency Referral Unit

  • Pharmacy: Free medicine distribution according to doctor’s prescriptions

  • MHPSS and GBV Referral Services: Mental health and psychosocial support, and gender-based violence referral pathways
