During the 1st quarter the project commenced the identification & enrollment of parents in need of treatment. Of the 12 women who were enlisted into the government treatment program 8 have been initiated treatment with ART. The remaining 4 are still on the wait list and hopefully this quarter will receive treatment.
The Foundation’s clinic is continuing to support 2 women with their treatment and is also working closely with the government for an early transfer to the free ART program. Once this is achieved the remaining 2 women will receive transitional support for our clinic and then be transferred to the government program.
Support for the remaining women who do not require treatment continues and in this quarter the clinic will conduct a screening camp to identify additional women. This activity requires financial support and the response till date is not very encouraging.
