RSKS INDIA is working for COVID-19 Humanitarian Relief and is always taking new steps for that.  From time to time we see the impact stories from ground by our feedback forms. Some of these real stories is shared in this report.

An Impact: Meet with Beneficiary Rukma .....

My name is Rukma (Name Changed)and I am 39 years old. I live in a hut with my family in a slum which is far away from the city. In my family, I have my husband and 4 children. My husband earned by singing and playing drum and I also worked in people’s houses in order to earn for our daily livelihood. Covid-19 pandemic snatched our employment away from us. My husband and I got unemployed. We started facing financial problems at first and then after this we started facing ration problems. With many difficulties we were able to feed our children but me and my husband have to sleep hungry so many times.

In the meantime, RSKS India gave helping hand to us. RSKS India marked our slum and did ration distribution here in which I also received a ration kit. I cannot describe that moment in words when I got ration kit and when I opened that ration kit I got more happy as it contained 20 kg flour, pulses, salt, oil, spices, sugar, soap etc things which my family needed the most. This ration kit secured my 3 weeks or more food need. When I told all this to me husband then he said even today humanity is alive and RSKS India showed humanity towards poor people like us and made us happy.

Now me and my family is not having any tension as previously every night we were thinking about from where we will get ration. Now me and my family are getting two times meal on time and we have started to think about new employment rather than thinking from where we will get ration. I do pray every day that this type of crisis should never come to anyone. Me and my family thanks RSKS India from bottom of our heart as only because of them poor people like us got food security.

Dear Patrons !

Dussehra is celebrated like a festival. This festival is celebrated in triumph over untruth. Evil prevalent in society is burnt as effigy of Ravana. Ravana is considered a symbol of evil and untruth, which is burnt away on the day of Dussehra which presents that truth always wins again untruth.

• Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organizes all the festivals that comes from time to time with the community. In this context, the Dussehra Festival was also organized by the organization.
• The organization celebrated the Dussehra festival with poor and deprived children from the urban slum area.
• On this occasion, the Ramayana was staged dramatically by the children of the slum region and the characters of the Ramayana were played.
• After the dramatic staging, all the children together lit an effigy of Ravana.
• The importance of Dussehra festival was explained to all children by the organization and also told them to follow the path of moral and truth.
• At the end of the program, sweets, chocolates, rolls, biscuits etc. were distributed to all the children. The children enjoyed all the delicious things.
• The children living in slums inadvertently indulge in unethical acts like theft, intoxication, so through this program the organization gave a message to the children to walk on the true and moral path.
• All the children and local people expressed their wishes and thanks to the RSKS Organization and donors.

An Small Impacts:-

• Through this program, the children took an oath that they would never do wrong and would abstain from acts like abusive and theft.
• Through the program, the children were also explained the importance of the festival and got a lesson on walking the path of truth in life.
• Changes in the mindset of children. Now they have started honoring the elders.
• The children celebrated this festival with great pomp, which brought them positive energy.

RSKS India Family wishes you a Happy & Safe Diwali!!

Moving skill development forward, RSKS India did 2 surveys for the new batch and for this inaccessible village was marked out and door to door survey was done over there. This survey was done for garment making training and beauty parlour vocational education training.

Around 50 Young girls and women enrolled their name in these trainings with great enthusiasm. An interview was also taken with these young girls and women after this survey in which master trainer, coordinator and village representative shared information regarding the skill development training. Women and girls were selected during the interview and the outline of skill development training was also decided.

RSKS India wishes you a Happy & Safe Diwali!!

The lives of poor street children, who are isolated from the glitzy world, pass away in the hope that they get two meals a day. Slum dwellers and children living in raw hut are not able to get nutritious food and even full diet, due to which these children become malnourished. The mothers of these children are also not aware of nutritious food.

Keeping this in view, a balanced nutritious diet and nutritional food material distribution program was organized by the RSKS organization. The program was organized at 10 places in the urban slum area, under which the organization along with the children and their mother gave them information about balanced nutritious food through posters, flip charts etc. Through this nutrition awareness program, the people of slum got nutrition information. Nutritious food cooking was also taught by the organization at the end of the program. Nutritional food material kits were also distributed by RSKS India to around 300 children & it had nutritional food materials like gram, soyabean, pulses, chana-dal, moong-dal etc. for the nutrition of these poor children.

Through this program 300 poor children got nutritious food and their families got information about balanced nutritious food. Now their mother is giving them nutritious food regularly so that these children will become healthy and well-fed. The people of the slum participated enthusiastically in the program as it was important information for them and their child. The family of the slum area thanked the RSKS organization and donors and these children also greeted the team RSKS. Through RSKS, these people are aware of health and nutrition, so now these people are also taking good care of their children.
