Hello Friends of the Golden Eagle!
Since late April we have been monitoring 24/7 the growing process of a wild golden eagle chick named Teo! For the first time in Mexico, people can follow the daily activity of a family of golden eagles in short videos.
We are expecting Teo to leave the nest in the next couple of weeks so make sure you don´t miss the moment of it´s first flight. You can follow Teo´s growth in our social media:
Here a Time Lapse of Teo´s growth so far:

As you can see on the videos, food availability like the Mexican prairie dog, is important for the survival of the golden eagle in it´s habitat. Also, the presence of prairie dog colonies allows water infiltration into the groundwater and soil oxygenation which is essential for the health of the ecosystem.
In the state of Zacatecas, the Mexican prairie dog disappeared in the seventies but the populations are being restored thanks to the efforts of several organizations. Your support will allow us to reintroduce a third prairie dog colony between 100 and 150 individuals where it has disappeared due to human activities.
Thank you again for your support!
