May is not just any month. May is Melanoma Awareness Month. It represents our collective commitment to discovery that will help end death and suffering due to melanoma. The Melanoma Research Alliance proudly stands behind 17 groundbreaking treatments over the past two decades, but there are patients that still need help. Amidst cuts to critical medical research, MRA has created the SPF initiative: Save Protect Fund to address underfunded melanomas and other unmet needs. Through the month of May, MRA was able to raise $50,000 to directly impact melanoma research. And due to the generosity of an anonymous donor, these funds were matched 1:1, bringing the total to $100,000 to be applied to our mission to find a cure.
