We are so happy to report that we are very close to our fundraising goal to start the rehabilitation work on the Murakaza school.
Last month, I travelled to Alsace, France, where the choir PatchVoice's decided to dedicate the entire proceeds of their Sunday concert to Bread and Water for Africa UK and the Murakaza school project.
We raised an outstanding £1,220!
We are completely overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and enthusiasm to support this cause.
We will now soon be able to start the rehabilitation. We weren't able to start as long as we haven't secured the full amount necessary. As you may know, the situation in Burundi is very difficult. Increased insecurity, rampant inflation and the lack of access to basic necessities makes life very difficult for every Burundian. New challenges are emerging every day for Françoise and her team in Bujumbura.
They need our help now more than ever to keep the school open and the children away from harm.
Thank you once again for being there for them. More than just your financial contribution, your moral support also really means a lot to them.
