E-FAST exam is the most widely adopted ultrasound examination for use in the emergency department.This exam looks at six locations on the body and can identify blood in the abdomen,blood around the heart,and acollapsed lung.It takes two minutes to perform. GEC, in collaboration with Uganda Ministry of Health, launched a point-of-care ultrasound training program for Emergency Department staff at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital where 15 medical staff from Gulu Regional referral hospital and surrounding health facilities were trained,GEC, worked with Kiwoko Hospital-Luwero District-Uganda, carried out a point-of-care ultrasound training program for Emergency Department staff where 10 medical staff were trained. This highlights what an incredible resource Ultrasound is for Emergency Care. It is amazing how well they will apply it to patient care to save lives.
