icddr,b Hospitals in Dhaka and Matlab have provided lifesaving service for diarrhoeal disease patients in Bangladesh. We have provided service to more than 200,000 patients last year. More than 60% of them are children under five.
Bangladesh is a densley populated country with rivers running all over the territory. Dhaka on the other hand, is one of most populated cities in the world. Water sanitation is a major issue from dwellers of Dhaka. That's why, diarrhoeal diseases are common and need immediate support to stop dehydration. With support from donors from all across the world, we have been able to provide treatment, medicine, tests, and services to these people without charging them any money. icddr,b hospitals has been proudly serving the community in Bangladesh since 1960.
icddr,b provides free of cost treatment to patients in Dhaka and Matlab for diarrhoeal disease patients. We also provide child delivery, nutrition counseling, breastfeeding counseling, SRHR services in our hospitals. These services are essential for people and the community in Bangladesh.
