Save Israel's Birds of Prey

We are pleased to report that at the end of the 2026 breeding seaso at the National Incubation Center for Birds of Prey, our final numbers are:

- 28 griffon vulture eggs were collected from nesting sites across Israel as part of the national conservation program.

- Of these, 16 were fertile and successfully incubated.

Once hatched, the chicks will be carefully placed with foster parent pairs by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, giving them the best possible start in life and contributing to the ongoing recovery of Israel's endangered griffon vulture population.

We are still also hopeful for breeding success with our pair of lappet-faced vultures as they are the only captive breeding pair in Israel. We continue to monitor their behavior and we will update you accordingly.
