Classes started and we have great news! Our program, Yo soy la Respuesta is expanding. Right now, we are collaborating with 80 wonderful children. Two first-grade groups and one second grade group which is helping us create our standardized program for second graders. The Ministry of Education gave us the new Educational Interest Decree for one of the schools we work with, la Escuela Inglaterra, which allowed us to successfully continue and to add another first grade group. This couple of months we have been focused on growing, communicating and generating an environmentally fundamented program that can be escalated to more public schools.
We were featured in two amazing national news reports where they announced the work we are doing. Because of that, plenty of people have reached out about their interest in volunteering to give sustainable oriented yoga classes with our program,Yo Soy la Respuesta, in their school institutions. We are amazed with the impact we are having in these couple of months and couldn’t be more grateful. With your help, we can continue expanding!
Also, recently different members from the Earth Charter Netherlands sent a letter requesting our nomination for the UNESCO-Japan prize in Education for Sustainable Development to the Ministry of Education of Costa Rica. This because they consider our program deeply meets the criteria and they value the transformative education factor which not only focuses on content but on personhood and consciousness. Read more about it here.
Thank you for your contribution! An increasing amount of kids will be receiving the benefits of these indispensable teachings, learning to take care of themselves and therefore of our Mother Earth.
