Dear Friends and Supporters of PEAC,
*** Happy New Year ***
Thank you for all of the donations, bags of nuts and gifts we received for our adoptive flock this holiday season! We hope each of you had a wonderful time and were able to spend it with family and friends.
PEAC is starting off 2025 with several events we wanted to let you know about ASAP.
Its a Toy-Making Party!
First, you're invited to a Toy Making Party! Help us assemble toys for our flock of adoptable parrots. We will bring the toy making parts for assembly, you just need to bring yourself! No pets are allowed on the premises but we will have snacks! RSVP-ing is not required but it helps us set up for enough people - you can RSVP by replying to this email or leave a quick message via any of our social media or use the "contact us" form on our website. (PS: If you wish to bring a new toy or donate parrot-safe toy parts, please feel free to, but again, its not required to participate.)
PEAC's Parrot Toy Making Party

It's an Mega-Adoption Event!
Save the date and stop by our booth at Cupids and Canines Mega Adoption Event, hosted by the San Diego Animal Support Foundation. Our booth is usually near Grossmont Center's "Information Booth" located near the center of the interior corridor of the mall. We will have our rainbow wings banner up, perfect for capturing the day and posting to your social media or sending a picture to someone special. We are not sure yet if any, or whom, of our adoptive flock will be attending so stay tuned to Facebook and Instagram for last minute announcements.

January is "Adopt a Parrot" Month!
Right now, PEAC has ELEVEN parrots available for adoption. Their profiles can all be found on our website PEAC.org
Please help us spread the word by sharing our newsletters or social media, and check out the cute pictures and information about three of our tweet-hearts below!
Tequila: is an 18 year old male Blue Crown Conure. He loves head scratches by his special people and it takes just a little time to win his trust over. He pretends to sing to music and loves to dance. He tolerates dogs and cats but will alert and scold them if they get too close to his cage. Tequila wants to be the center of your attention and simply adored.
BirdBird: is a 16 year old female Green Cheek Conure. She loves to take baths, play, chase toy balls, shake tiny maracas and shred paper and wood. She prefers stepping up on a stick at this time but her foster home is working with her to step up on hands as well. She says "Hi Bird! Hi Baby!" and likes to trick you by mimicking sneezes and a whistle.
Sunny: was found outdoors on the ground after approaching several people. She was brought to PEAC after she went unclaimed and her owner was not found. She was DNA sexed as female Green Cheek Conure and had a veterinary exam which determined she is healthy (and very sweet.) Sunny is gregarious and enjoys dancing and is looking for a new home.
All of our adoptive parrots receive a complete veterinary exam upon arrival and are quarantined for 30 days before becoming available for adoption. Any required medical care our parrots need is provided during their stay, including annual wellness exams.
Your donations primarily go towards this supportive and medical care. We are so grateful for all you have done for our birds!
Wishing you health and happiness in 2025!
Gratefully yours,
