We have collected $20,000 in donations for this project.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our partners in Mae Sot Thailand, where this project is centered, have requested that no foreign volunteers come to Mae Sot until we are otherwise notified.
We therefore have decided to fund local Thai physicians and nurses to do this work and to continue to directly support surgeries for Burmese refugee children needing these. We wil do this using grants to the Burmese Children's Medical Fund in Mae Sot.
We want to emphasize that this is a time of great need for these children who have no place else to turn. We thank you for your generosity and hope to see more donations to our cause.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
