November 2022. Final clinic for the year on Isabela
Dr. Pam along with the veterinary technicians Joanna and Melissa conducted the last sterilization campaign of the year in Isabela. In one working week, 42 dogs and 39 cats were sterilized and received internal deworming and fleas and ticks treatments.
Dr. Pam also offered primary veterinary care to patients already sterilized. As the hot season approaches and the presence of ticks increases, especially in the highlands of the island, we organized a small brigade for internal and external deworming for dogs and cats in this area. For its part, ABG Isabela’s team of technicians continued the registration, id chipping, and vaccination of dogs.
This campaign also included a technician from the ABG Technical Office in San Cristóbal, who was trained in patient preparation activities. This is the way in which Animal Balance brings people together to learn together and work towards the same goal.
With the support of all those who have made donations for this project we have managed to serve the community of Isabela Island with about 400 sterilizations in 2022, in addition to vaccinations, deworming, and primary medical care.
