For years, the children in our program in Mpape relied on the local stream for their daily needs—a trek that often resulted in waterborne illnesses and painful skin lesions. This quarter, that cycle was broken. One young boy shared that he no longer fears the "itch" after bathing, now that he can access clean water right at his doorstep.
What We’ve Achieved This Quarter
We have focused intensely on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) infrastructure to create a safer, healthier living environment:
Your Impact in Action
Because of your unwavering support, the physical health of these 350 children is visibly improving. Our most recent Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) data shows a direct correlation between these facility upgrades and the children's well-being:
Impact Highlight: Since the provision of these renovated toilet and shower facilities, the incidence rate of skin lesions among the children has dropped by 30%.
Your donations didn't just buy tiles and cement; they bought health, time for study, and a childhood free from preventable disease.
Looking Ahead
With the sanitation infrastructure now stabilized, our next phase focuses on sustaining these gains and ensuring every child has the resources they need to thrive in a clean environment. We are currently reviewing our resources to accommodate new entrants who have joined the program, drawn by the improved living conditions you helped create.
Thank you for standing with the Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman and these 350 resilient children.
