Update

By Mastora Bakhiet | Project Leader

Dear our donors and our friends,

We, Darfur Women Network, Inc., (DWN) grateful for your support and your generosity.  Our partnership with GlobalGiving and the support of Microsoft’s YouthSpark fund are has huge impact

As a project leader who attended Social Impact Academy that Global giving had offered for no cost helped me and my colleagues to determine our needs to improve DWN effectiveness.

We are able to recruited professional volunteers who are taking the DWN to next level.

Now, I am so thrilled to share with you that we have ten college students  help with tutoring  Math( Algebra 1 &2,geometray, and calculus) , tutoring English( reading, writing, and adult conversation), and SAT ( Critical reading and thinking, and writing), as well as various educational areas.

Now, the DWN partnered with Butler University for mutual benefits. The Butler students who study religious in addition to various majors are required to have community engagement which is DWN committed to facilitate. On the other hand, the students help the DWN to meet its volunteering needs.

As a result, we are proud to create strong connection and presence of immigrants’ families and their children in Butler Campus and have strong connection and involve of Native Americans in immigrant community. I hope to have positive social impact on both immigrant community and the education institute (Butler University) to help us to build strong foundation for partnership

Please, share our link below with you friends and your network to help us to reach out to more supporters.  The DWN is grateful for the effort of our volunteers,  our SOCIAL MEDIA lunched on September 1st,2015,  I am inviting you to   our campaign, like us, share with your network, and give us feedback  to help us to improve our work.
