Dear Friends and Family,
I hope that this note finds you all doing well and enjoying the holidays! It's hard to believe that 2019 is coming to an end. I'd like to share some end-of-year updates with you all.
We opened another facility in Jharkand at the end of October. The toilets at this facility are being used by hundreds of people every day, and we are distributing over 20,000 liters of safe drinking water each week. We are thrilled that our services are being used by so many people already, and are excited for our impact to continue growing.
We also kick started our work in Assam in early December. Assam is the third state in which we are now operating. This project has been funded by the Starbucks Foundation as Starbucks sources much of its tea from Assam. Our work will help ensure that tea garden workers have access to safe drinking water and sanitation.
Finally, The Better India made a wonderful video highligthting our work. This video features SHRI's co-founders, Chandan Kumar and Prabin Ghimire, and does a wonderful job showcasing our model. Please feel free to take a look and share!
