Dear Friends of SHRI,
Thank you, as always, for following our progress. 2019 is well underway, and I am excited to share some important updates with you.
First, and perhaps most importantly, we recently opened our seventh community sanitation facility. This facility will serve yet another community in Jharkhand by providing them with access to both toilets and safe drinking water. We are grateful for the partners that made this facility possible, and look forward to working with this community for years to come.
Next, we are about to open our eighth facility (which will also be in Jharkhand), and beging our work in our third state as our partnership with the Starbucks Foundation kicks off. We are excited that we are about to scale to our third state, and that we will be working with tea-plantation workers, a historically underserved population.
Your continued support helps us demonstrate to foundations and partners that we have a incredibly strong support network, which encourages them to fund our work. We are grateful for this, and look forward to a very strong 2019.
