Dear Supporters,
It is hard to believe that another summer has come and gone. We at SHRI mark our years by the coming and going of the "warm months" given that our first facility opened four summers ago in July 2014. This summer was particularly significant for us as we passed the 2 million toilet uses mark. In other words, the toilets across our five facilities have now been used more than 2 million times! We are extremely proud of this achievement, and know that it could not be done without your support.
We also completed construction of our sixth facility this summer, and are making good progress towards completing our seventh and eighth facilities, which will hopefully be done by the end of this year. We have also secured some multi-year funding support, which will enable us to scale our efforts significantly. One of these agreements will pay for the construction of two new facilities in Assam, a state in north east India. SHRI will now have a presence in three states, something we could not have imagined even just two years ago.
As always, thank you for your time and support. Your contribution to our efforts will help us put an end to open defecation in India, thus ensuring that every woman, man, and child can live a healthy and happy life.
Thank you for the time. Enjoy the day!
Anoop
