Mr. Karunakar and I visited Sankara Eye Hospital - Guntur recently. We are very happy to share that Focus-AP Phase III project was successfully completed and fully operational now. Hospital capacity increased from 225 beds to 325 beds. Added new surgery theaters, recovery rooms and many other facilities. Number of eye camps per month also increased by 30%. Current hospital staff strength is around 235. Earlier it used to be around 140.
We almost spent more than half day at hospital. It was very clean and maintained really very well. Went inside of the new surgery theaters, they are all highly equipped and connected with hygienic surgical instrument sterilizing room. Very well controlled environment suitable for any type of surgery with 24x7 environment control logging system. Very impressed and it was a great experience for both of us. Had a chat with patients and they are all appreciated the work that Sankara Eye Foundation’s volunteers work and donors generosity. Thank you for your support to this noble cause through GlobalGiving.
