Sanitary Pad Donation Program for School Girls
Project Overview
The Sanitary Pad Donation Program for School Girls, implemented by Sathkara Social Service Foundation, aims to support underprivileged schoolgirls in Balangoda and Ampara by providing free sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene education. The project seeks to improve menstrual health, protect the dignity of schoolgirls, and help them attend school regularly without interruption due to a lack of sanitary products.
Current Project Status
Unfortunately, we have not yet received sufficient funding to implement this project as planned. Although the project aims to support schoolgirls from disadvantaged backgrounds, the lack of adequate financial resources has prevented us from proceeding with the planned distribution of sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene education activities.
Funding Requirements
Our target is to provide sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene education to 100 schoolgirls. The total fundraising goal for this project is USD 1,000. Additional donations are urgently needed to purchase sanitary pads and provide the planned support to the girls who need it most.
Challenges and Future Plans
The main challenge remains the lack of sufficient funding to carry out the planned activities. We will continue our fundraising efforts and seek support from individuals, organizations, and well-wishers to raise the necessary funds. Once adequate funding is secured, we plan to begin distributing sanitary pads and conducting menstrual hygiene awareness activities for the selected schoolgirls.
Conclusion
We believe that every girl deserves access to proper menstrual hygiene products and the opportunity to attend school with confidence and dignity. We sincerely hope to receive the necessary financial support to implement this project and make a positive difference in the lives of underprivileged schoolgirls.
