Greetings to all caring people with great big hearts!
It is October 2023 – and with some sadness in our hearts, we want to say that we made a hard decision to deactivate this project. Yes, this ugly war is still here; people still flee the danger and still need a place to live. However, many are already looking for something long-term instead of just a temporary shelter, because life has to continue despite the circumstances.
High prices for electricity and heating also influence the practicality of the project.
However, with your help, this shelter served and helped many people for more than a year– some stayed here only for a few nights, moving further afterward. Some people lived here longer, adjusting to their new reality.
From now on, we will move on to other projects that will be reasonable for this season.
But we want to thank you all for helping us go through this journey – with your donations, we were able to be a temporary HOME to many Ukrainian refugees.
Once again, sending all of you best wishes and gratitude from Ukraine! Thank you for your help!
