Welcome to Tin'Amoud, the Seed-Libray and to Dar Si Hmad's Agdal Brahim Aachour from the heart of the Anti-Atlas Mountains in South Morocco
Three major milestones has been completed in this project: a. the physical ecological construction of the seed-library is completed; b. seeds continue being collected, planted, and adapted to the local climate; and c. the initiative has gained important momentum in the countryside as the network grows and committed farmers manifest their enthusiasm for the project.
We are now setting new objectives to the project. These being expanding the dissemination of the information and the collection of the seeds to the local oases, to the High Atlas region, and reach in the confines of the rural mountainous region where old grains still exist and are reproduced. The second objective is to widen and consolidate the network in the form of an official partnership where the exchange mode is barter with clear guidelines. Our ultimate goal, since the inception of this initiative, continues to be safeguarding of the seeds, the creation and consolidation of a solid network that embodies the promise of a world where traditional and reproducible seeds abound for local food sovreignty.
