Title: The girls go swimming and one visits Angkor Wat
The girls in the shelter recently spent a warm Saturday afternoon going swimming! They originally were planning to swim at the Olympic Stadium, but when that was closed, they headed to a private pool nearby.
There, they practiced their swimming strokes, learned how to do handstands under water and posed for the camera. They refueled with popsicles and juice and were back in the water.
Sreyah*, one of the girls who is attending university, was among about 20 students from CWDA's vocational training program to take a three-day trip to Angkor Wat and Siem Reap. The students saved their money and made the trip over a recent weekend. They saw the temples of Angkor Wat, went swimming in a waterfall at Kulen Mountain and went shopping at Siem Reap's night market. They also met teacher Phary's family. They all had a great time and bonded with each other.
Sreyah is a leader among her peers. She is very friendly, encouraging and makes everyone laugh.
