Hari (name changed) is now in the 9th standard. Being born to a poor mother he grew up in a small village near Musiri. He has an elder sister and a younger brother. Hari's father deserted his family before 5 years and started living with another woman. Hari's mother takes up whatever work she can do and with the coolie she earns ($50 approximately per month) takes care of the children. After knowing about this poor boy's situation, Hari was admitted to our home.
Hari is average in his studies. But he is very good at sports. In the school sports day, he got first prize in kabadi and running and second prize in shotput. He is very happy to receive the awards. "I am very happy that I am participating in sports and getting prizes. My mom usually scolds me that I am playing and not studying well. But now, after joining the home I am motivated by the New Life team to take part in sports. They also help me in studying by coaching me in the evenings. With this support I am sure that my future will be bright. I will become a police" We can see boh the pain of the past and the hope of the future in his eyes.
From June to August 2016 $199.28 was donated by you dear donors. With this donations we paid the salary of the cook. Thank you dear donors for the support.
