"Hurray! We are back to school and in the next class" happily shouts the children in Poonjolai, our home. After a month's vacation, the children are back to school in the month of June. They are so happy to be with their friends in the school and home, though occassionally we can find the pinch of sadness in face as they had to come away from their near and dear ones.
We, at New Life are much pressurised this year as Sathya should write her High school final exams. She is to be coached specially as she finds it a little difficult to study Maths and English. She is spending additional hours studying besides attending the Communicative English class. The others are as playful as they are.
A donor gave a mixie as donation to the home. We are trying to rope in volunteers to come during the weekends to spend time with the children. The children are given healthy nutritious meal and since this is the beginning of the academic year, we are mobilising donations for their educational needs.
The home is functioning with the generous support from people like you and we are grateful from making this possible. Kindly spread words to your friends and relatives as we are only providing the minimum basic needs to the children due to paucity of funds. If we can mobilise more funds, we will be in a better position to provide them with extra skills coaching.
