We are thankful to all for the help and support you have provided to our project.

So far we have supported 103 deliveries through your generous donations.

In this report we are sharing the story of Reena (age 30 years), mother of five children. She works as a house maid and her husband Arvind is a daily wage earner. Lack of awareness on family planning has resulted Reena to conceive for the fifth time.

Earlier, Reena had delivered her 4 kids at home with the help of unskilled ‘Dai Maa’ and had never received any institutional care, major reasons being lack of money, lack of means of transport, and long distance to health facility. One day through her close friend she met Merrytarang member Ushaji, and discussed about her fifth pregnancy. Ushaji took her to Merrygold Hospital.

Reena Shares – I am grateful to Ushaji (Merrytarang Member), who helped me to deliver safely at the nearest Merrygold Health Network Hospital and further helped me adopt best suited family planning method.

Ushaji Shares: - Reena attended godbharai activity (Baby shower) in her third trimester. During the event she was informed about pregnancy-related complications, do’s and don’ts and also about various methods of family planning. Also as a participatory token, she was handed over a nutritious gift hamper along with a dietary schedule to follow. After doctor’s counseling she agreed for both the procedures (Institutional Delivery & Post Partum Family Planning) at Merrygold Health Network Hospital.

After delivery, both Reena & Arvind opted to adopt a family planning method and are thankful to Merrygold Health Network Hospital and Ushaji for their continuous support.

Indeed, we thank all of you for your generosity in ensuring quality care to poor pregnant mothers and helping them with institutional deliveries. Your kind support is truly empowering families and bringing good health to mothers and their newborns.
