Dear Donors, Friends, and Supporters,

On behalf of my organization (HLFPPT), I am taking the privilege to thank you all for your generous support and help provide under the project “Safe Pregnancy for 200 poor Women in India”

So far, through this project HLFPPT (national not-for-profit orgnaaition) have received donation across the Globe with a tune to USD 15398 against the set target of just USD 20,000/-.

This overwhelming response has boosted the energy level of our field staffs, working continuously towards providing healthcare benefits to the common poor people residing in rural India. Now we are more confidently, helping poor pregnant women to get safe delivery to childbirth at institution.

At this juncture, we are appealing to please extend your more support to reach the target of USD 20,000/-, so that this project can be concluded on a good note. This can also be done by sharing the project benefits, reports with your friends and dear ones, who are willing to help Pregnant Women and Child in India.

How your donations bringing a smile on the faces of thousands of pregnant women, let’s hear it from beneficiaries.

I am Meena, am 24 years old, a resident of Vijay Nagar, Dhobighat, Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. I am a housewife, living with my husband, one daughter, and my newborn baby. We have not decided the name of baby boy, yet.

Since my first pregnancy, I have heard about the MerryGold Hospital Network and its services provided at free of cost, with the help of donations received from good-hearted people. I was also used to be in touch with MerryTarang Workers (MTW; front line health workers for Merry Gold Hospital Network) for latest information about family planning and reproductive choices.

Didi (MTW) is the first contact person for our any health-related advice. We all have her mobile number for instant help. She used to organize Community Health Meeting, where I had attended few of them after my first childbirth. After knowing the facilities, support and dedication of resident doctors at hospital, I had made my mind that, In case of my second childbirth, I will surely take help of MTW didi for my institutional delivery.

After 2 years of gap between first and second childbirth, I was pregnant ; (this decision was also made with the help of MTW didi after knowing the health benefits for mother and child),  I called MTW didi to get advice on safe delivery of my baby as well as, when and where to deliver. She had fixed an appointment with senior doctor uncle in MerryGold Hospital for my ANC check-ups. It was all free of cost at hospital. I and my husband were very happy, to save our out-of-pocket expenditure.

The Check-ups helps us to get the tentative date of delivery. Everything was normal. All medicines, follow-ups, Consultation, everything was on time. The delivery week has arrived; I was feeling a bit nervous, which makes my husband nervous too. At my home, my in-laws were also presented during this crucial situation. 3 days before my delivery date, all of sudden, I got severe labor pain. I have asked my husband to call MTW didi for the quick ambulance. As the pain was unbearable.

He called didi, immediately. An ambulance arrived so quick and on time. We rushed to hospital, which is around 7 km from my village. I have been taken to the labor room. As I have been informed (after delivery), in another couple of minutes, I gave birth to my second baby boy.

The timing was very crucial for me and my baby boy. My husband got emotional and thanked all the hospital administration for their prompt response and quick ambulance service at our door-step.

He has also thanked Merry Tarang worker Anita didi for her continuous support and guidance.

Like, Meena, there are many more women still need our support to give birth at institution for a healthy and safe baby. Come forward and support the project by donation generous amount.

About the Project:

HLFPPT has partnered with more than 300 hospitals to provide safe pregnancy and delivery facilities to poor women. This includes medical check-ups, counseling support, medicines, tests, nutritional supplements, delivery care, etc. More than 600,000 women have availed services through HLFPPT hospitals.

Long-Term Impact

This project is helping to prevent needless deaths of mothers by ensuring that at least 500 poor pregnant women are blessed with healthy babies. Given the key role that mothers play in the health of their families, the program is also contributing towards improving the overall quality of healthcare in the state-starting with one mother-baby pair at a time.
