We would like to thank our global giving donors for providing continuous support to poor pregnant women in Uttar Prades. Nearly 45,000 mothers die due to causes related to childbirth every year in India which accounts for 17 per cent of such deaths globally, according to the global health body. Your kind contributions are acting as lifesaving boats for few of them.
In this report we would like to share the story of Anjum, wife of Gulfam, a labour. Her Husband is the sole bread earner in the family. Anjum shared -“Due to lack of awareness of good and affordable facilities in the area, I was visiting an expensive facility for my ANC checkups. High expenditure on checkups started creating financial burden on us. It was becoming hard to get two times meals for the family. Doctor suggested c- Section delivery to me for healthy mother and child. It would have become impossible for us to arrange the big amount for surgery but thankfully I met a Merrytarang member on that day during a survey. She told me about Merrygold facility in my vicinity and the ongoing schemes. She helped me to get enrolled in the hospital where I successfully delivered my 3rd baby by c-sec surgery in affordable cost. I am very much satisfied with the kind of services of Merrygold facility Kamal Nursing home, Bhavana, Meerut offered.”
She is very thankful to the donors who make it possible for her to deliver a healthy baby in money crunch situation.
Similar experiences have been shared by other beneficiaries under Global Giving Sponsored Safe deliveries. Women and their family members are satisfied with their stay and reports that they would refer a friend, neighbour etc, which require alike support.
We look forward to your generous contributions.
