Sometimes the first step toward stability is simply having a safe place to sleep. When shelters are full or home is unsafe, Highly Favored Foundation's 72-Hour Safe Haven helps arrange short-term emergency motel stays for women, children, and families in Butler County and Greater Cincinnati, along with essential support and connections to next-step resources. Donor support helps families move from crisis toward stability with safety, dignity, and a path forward.
Women, children, and families in Butler County and Greater Cincinnati can face an immediate housing crisis because of domestic violence, eviction, homelessness, sudden displacement, or an unsafe home. When emergency shelters are full, have limited capacity, or are not an appropriate placement, families may have nowhere safe to sleep while waiting for housing or other assistance. Transportation barriers and limited resources can make the situation even harder to navigate.
Highly Favored Foundation will respond to referrals from women, children, and families in Butler County and Greater Cincinnati facing an urgent housing or safety crisis. We will assess each family's immediate needs and, when resources and eligibility allow, arrange a short-term motel stay of up to 72 hours when shelters are full or a home is unsafe. During this bridge period, families may receive essential supplies and transportation support when available, while HFF connects them
Over time, the 72-Hour Safe Haven will provide a reliable bridge for families facing an immediate housing or safety crisis. When families have a safe place to regroup, parents can make calls, complete applications, communicate with providers, and focus on their next steps instead of simply trying to survive the next night. Essential supplies and transportation support, when available, can help protect dignity and reduce barriers to accessing help.
