Rural women and single mothers are the poorest among women in lower Sindh region of Pakistan, The status of rural communities of Sujawal & Jati areas is very low. Majority of poor rural families facing contamination in drinking water. AHD will provide initial 500 Nadi filter unit to Sujawal & Jati flood affected communities withi next 06 months. The objective of Nadi filter technology promotion in rural Sindh to help people to access safe and clean drinking water at their household level.
Sujawal district families are facing worst situation of floods, in remote rural areas of Sujawal heavy rain spell creates flood affected families now facing crises as their houses and crops submerged in flood water. problems persist. Sadly, water-borne diseases such as cholera, dysentery and typhoid increased due to rain floods 2020.
Association for Humanitarian Development introduced safe drinking Nadi filter with poor slum areas based families and find very good response back, AHD will help rural Sujawal & Jati areas to install quickly 500 Nadi filter water units in some 500 poor families about 5,000 people to access to safe and clean drinking water at their household level. the people will be saved from waterborne diseases
This project empowers poor communities and single mothers to gain resilience on difficult situations in life while drinking contaminated water at their household level. About 500 families will be skilled and trained to install and use life time based technology of Nadi filter units. Through this Nadi filter no more sickness in women and children under 5 years of age.
