Our community has been experiencing heavy flooding after several days of rain, causing chaos across the region. I am put on high alert to deal with possible outbreak of water-borne diseases following recent floods in the area.
I am working closely with single mothers and care givers at Joy Baby Care to prevent possible outbreak of water-borne diseases.
I am encouraging parents to boil water for drinking, wash hands with soap after visiting the toilet, sleep under mosquito nets, clean fruits and vegetables before eating/cooking and avoid as much as possible buying cooked foods from the open air market etc.
So far so good, no case has been reported and we thank God for that. The health of children is good. I promise to keep an eye.
I thank TIBA AFRICA FOUNDATION, Community Clinic, donors, care givers, parents, friends and well-wishers for a continued support to the JOY BABY CARE project.
God Bless you.
