Love Without Boundaries Believe in Me school has a beautiful new garden in Rangsei that our art teacher and school security guard constructed alongside the students. The students were able to help them plant flowers and trees to beautify the school lawn.
Our students had a wonderful month in February. Along with a lot of learning, they enjoyed craft time to make toys and tableware during their free time.
Have you ever wondered what “rubber jump” means? Some of us may have assumed it was similar to “jump rope” that was played in grade school. Boy were we wrong. It appears to be an inverse “limbo” wherein you jump over the rope and raise it to see how high you can jump. Now we know!
Along with physical activities, our students can also choose to visit the library to enjoy reading the stories and practice their skills. Kara and Stephanie are two students who frequently choose to do so.
Since our donors' generosity has allowed us to purchase computers, our students are working through a typing and computer skills curriculum which will give them a tremendous advantage as they get older and desire to attend University.
Our teachers are working hard too. Srey Oun, our 3rd grade teacher spends some of her extra time preparing activities to help increase her students' reading skills. When Liya, our 5th grade teacher at Rangsei is done grading assignments, she likes to spend her extra time drawing illustrations to hang in her classroom! Our teachers are blossoming right alongside their students.
The staff selected the highest readers to participate in a regional reading competition in the city. We are so proud that our students were able to take part in the competition.
We hope you have enjoyed reading about our Believe in Me students this month. It really encourages us all when we see the students enjoying their learning and excelling in their skills. We are happy to be able to share their progress with each of you. Our students are fed, kept safe, and are learning each and every day because of wonderful donors like you!
