By Sharon Coldren | Past President and Member of the CBCC Board
Coral Bay Community Council is continuing its transition in leadership with the phased retirement of Sharon Coldren and the refreshing energy of Monica Miller-Smith as the new Executive Director. The largest federal grant ever was received to continure our Watershed and Coastal Resilience work for everyone. A special aspect is expanding our abilty to provide programs to school children and families about why environmental protection and clean water are important . These are components of watershed education. For instance, CBCC's staff worked the recent Earth Day event on St. John Support for childrens programs this summer is anticipates. The CBCC board has allocated over $4,000 to assure funds are available to assist smaller organizations providing youth summer programs this year - continuing our commitment.
Expect some larger and more exciting programs in the future!
Happy Earth Day.
